Why Seattle Southside?

 Location

Centrally located near the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport at the I-5/I-405 crossroads, Seattle Southside, consisting of the cities of Tukwila, SeaTac, Kent and Des Moines, is the perfect place to hold an event. Fifteen minutes south of Seattle and 20 minutes north of Tacoma, all of the attractions of the Pacific Northwest are within a short drive. With the addition of the Link Light Rail system, traveling from Seattle Southside to downtown Seattle is a short 30-minute trip. After a meeting, attendees can step out to Seattle and not have to worry about renting a car, downtown traffic or paying for parking. Seattle Southside is the perfect home base for an event in the Pacific Northwest.

Affordability

With hotel rates typically 20 percent to 30 percent less than downtown Seattle, meetings and events are much more affordable in Seattle Southside. Most Southside hotels provide free parking, free airport shuttles and complimentary breakfast, meaning guests aren’t nickel and dimed during their stay. There is little need to rent a car when meeting attendees can be picked up at the airport. If they want to venture to Seattle after the meeting, the Link Light Rail is very affordable at less than $5.00 round trip. If guests decide to rent a car, free parking is more available and less expensive compared to downtown.

Facilities & Venues

With more than 9,000 hotel rooms, more than 850,000 square feet of meeting space and many unique venues to choose from, groups are sure to find the perfect place to hold their meetings.
