Island Mariner Cruises pride themselves on offering the best whale watching experience possible. They have designed a variety of different cruises to fit the climate, whale and Passenger. How do they do that? Well they'd be glad you asked because they are passionate about sharing what makes them stand out from other whale watching tours.
To accommodate the needs and desires of their passengers, the Island Mariner whale watching vessel is the largest in the Pacific Northwest, and this is not so they can cram on the most people as they prefer to stay at 3/4 capacity. The main outdoor deck of the ship provides a large deck space wrapping around the entire ship. On the main deck there are also two indoor spaces to accommodate the chances that our wet Pacific N.W. climate might act up during the cruise. The first cabin is filled with dinning tables and chairs and plenty of space. The second is a comfortable living room style space with sofas, easy chairs and an entertainment center. Both of the rooms on the main deck have walls lined with windows for optimal ocean (and whale) views. Above these rooms is a open air partially covered deck with plenty of seating and open railing space for a birds eye view of the surrounding waters. The ship has plenty of refrigeration and freezer space along with 7 guest bunk rooms with two beds each, 4 heads including a shower and tub, and a washer and dryer!
Your entire vacation experience is very important to Island Mariner so they are passionate about making sure your experience with them is the best possible. On every cruise they have a friendly experienced naturalist who will narrate the cruise through the islands and they'll tell you a lot more than you would expect! Experts in their field, the naturalist will answer any questions about the local scenery, wildlife, geography, tides, currents, depths, botany and more. To make sure you get the best experience possible, Island Mariner will send out a seaplane spotter which will fly through the islands looking for whales and will then communicate the best locations to the captain. Decorated with Northwest native art, the plane makes for great photo ops if it chances by the cruise.
Island Mariner also offers a wide variety of group charters that cater to individual group needs. They are licensed to serve beer and wine on board and can make recommendations for many excellent caterers in the area. Their website lists several popular cruise suggestions but they will take you just about anywhere you want and customize the trip to fit your needs. Prices for group charters vary widely, call Island Mariner Cruises for price quotes.
